Pipili: Two lady teachers died after an auto-rickshaw rammed into their scooty near Pipili in Puri district on Saturday morning.
Police identified the deceased as Snehalata Sahu (42) and Subhalaxmi Parida (23).
Reports said the teachers were on way to Pitabas UGME School at Dandamukundapur when the goods carrier auto-rickshaw collided head-on with their scooty.
Locals rushed the duo to the community health centre (CHC) at Pipili. But as their condition worsened, they were referred to Capital Hospital in Bhubaneswar. However, they succumbed on the way.
