Two More Districts On Odisha COVID-19 Death Map, Toll Rises To 343
Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll in Odisha touched 343 on Sunday with 10 more patients succumbing to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.
The new fatalities have reported from Bhubaneswar (2), Ganjam (2) and one each from Bhadrak, Balangir, Sonepur, Cuttack, Jajpur and Kandhamal.
The Sonepur and Balangir districts reported their first COVID death.
The Health Department has identified the deceased as:
1.A 75-year-old male of Bhadrak district who was also suffering from hypertension and chronic kidney disease.
2.A 32-year-old female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from diabetes, hypertension and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
3.A 55-year-old male of Bhubaneswar.
4.A 62-year-old male of Balangir district who was also suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
5.A 60-year-old male of Cuttack district who was also suffering from diabetes.
6.A 67-year-old male of Ganjam district who was also suffering from hypertension, diabetes and bronchial asthma.
7.A 55-year-old male of Ganjam district.
8.A 60-year-old male of Jajpur district who was also suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
9.A 59-year-old male of Kandhamal district who was also suffering from hypertension, diabetes and nephropathy.
10.A 45-year-old male of Sonepur district who was also suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis, chronic kidney disease.
With the 10 new deaths, the virus has so far claimed 154 lives in Ganjam district, followed by 44 in Khurda, 21 in Sundargarh, 16 in Gajapati, 17 in Cuttack, 15 in Rayagada, nine in Nayagarh, seven in Balasore and Sambalpur, six in Kandhamal, five in Bhadrak and Keonjhar, four in Jajpur, eight in Puri, three each in Bargarh, Angul, and Kendrapada, two each in Koraput, Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Jagatsinghpur, Kalahandi and one each in Jharsuguda, Nabarangpur, Balangir, Sonepur, and Dhenkanal.
