Konark: Police on Friday arrested the two prime accused in the Koklata woman’s gangrape case.
Sources said that Subhas Behera and Krushna Chandra Behera were arrested on the basis of their phone call records. A special team led by Konark police station inspector in-charge Sanjeev Pradhan arrested Subhas from Bedpur area under Gop police station limits. Likewise, the police arrested Krushna by tracking his phone calls. The two were forwarded to court on Saturday.
The police had earlier arrested over seven lodge owners and managers in this connection.
Residents and and the police had rescued a Bengal-based woman from a locked room inside a market complex in Konark on October 17. The woman had alleged that she had been gang-raped and forced into prostitution.
