Koraput: A group of tourists from Bhubaneswar had a bitter experience on Sunday while visiting Duduma waterfall in Odisha’s Koraput district. Two of them were hospitalised after being stung by a swarm of wild bees.
Sources said, five tourists were taking round of the scenic waterfall in the afternoon when a swarm of bees attacked them.
While three of them managed to escape, the winged insects stung the others, leaving them seriously hurt. A bee reportedly got into the ear of a tourist. The two were immediately admitted to Ankadoli primary health centre. However, their identity was not immediately available.
The two are likely to be shifted to Lamptaput community health centre (CHC), the sources added.
