Uber on Wednesday launched a 24×7 safety helpline for its customers in Chandigarh. The helpline is intended to make the journey safer.
Riders can tap on a shield icon and then swipe to speak to an Uber representative.
The helpline is not a substitute for ‘100’, the company clarified and said it encourages users to use the national emergency line (100) in case of a safety-related incident.
The company will roll out the service in other cities soon.
