Bhubaneswar: Even as the Odisha government has been stressing on online education and computer literacy, it has been lagging far behind in providing the infrastructure for the students in its schools.
According to the Unified District Information System for Education Plus (UDISE+) for 2020-21 released by the department of school education and literacy under Ministry of Education, only 19.74% of the total schools in Odisha have computer facility.
While 7.26% of schools have internet connection, only 2.84% of government schools have the facility compared to 99.6% in Punjab, 89.79% in Delhi, 87.21% in Kerala and 72.36% in Gujarat.
