The department of Higher Education has issued a revised schedule seeking to begin the new academic session from the second week of July.

As per the modified timeline, the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) will also be held earlier than usual. The department has aligned the entrance examination process with its broader plan to streamline admissions and academic activities across universities and colleges in the state.

All universities

and undergraduate colleges have been instructed by the department to adhere strictly to the academic calendar and ensure that examinations are conducted on schedule.

As part of the revised schedule, classroom teaching is set to begin from July 10, with examinations to be conducted by April 30 and results declared by June 1.

The department has directed Regional Directors of Education to update the master database for admissions into PG courses by February 24. The move aims to facilitate a smooth admission process through the Student Academic Management System (SAMS).

Odisha students can apply to various central universities, and the updated information will be reflected in the Common Application Form (CAF) and SAMS portal. Colleges upgrading to Aided or Block Grant status must update their SAMS Code and login credentials.
