Cuttack: The authorities of Ravensha University in Odisha’s Cuttack city have postponed the UG and PG semester examinations following agitation by students.
According to the fresh notification, the UG fourth semester and PG second semester exams will be held after the summer vacations. These were scheduled for April 23 to May 1.
On Monday, the students, wearing black badges, staged a sit-in in front of the Registrar’s office, alleging the the dates for the exams were announced in just 55 days after the starting of the semester instead of 90 days.
They argued that they have very little time to prepare for the exams.
Controller of the Examination Patitapabana Mishra had then said that they had planned to conduct all the examinations before the four-phase elections in the state. The varsity, however, on Wednesday decided to postpone the exams and quell the protests.
