New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to reschedule the UGC-NET exam 2024 after considering candidates’ feedback.
The exam, earlier scheduled to be held on June 16, will now be conducted on June 18, informed University Grants Commission (UGC) chairman Mamidala Jagadesh Kumar.
“The National Testing Agency and UGC have decided to shift the UGC-NET from 16 June (Sunday) to 18 June 2024 (Tuesday) because of feedback received from candidates. NTA will conduct UGC-NET in OMR mode across India on a single day. NTA will soon issue a formal notification,” Jagadesh Kumar posted on social media platform X on Monday.
Question paper in the UGC-NET exam will be in English and Hindi, except the language papers.
The test, to be conducted in OMR-based mode only, will consist of two papers, both of which will have objective type, multiple choice questions.
Each paper will be of three hours’ duration, with no break between papers.
