New Delhi: The results of the UGC-NET exam conducted in June this year for faculty positions in colleges and universities were declared on Saturday.
The number of candidates who qualified for the post of assistant professor is 50,945, said a government statement.
In all, 9,42,419 candidates appeared for the exams.
The number of candidates who qualified for JRF as well as for assistant professor is 4756.
The UGC-NET exams comprise two papers. As per the UGC policy, 6 per cent of the candidates who appear in both the papers and obtain minimum qualifying marks in aggregate of both the papers are declared NET qualified.
