UK Returnees To Delhi To Undergo 7-Day Institutional, 7-Day Home Quarantine

New Delhi: Passengers flying in from the UK to Delhi will have to undergo quarantine, irrespective of whether they are COVID-positive or not.

It will be mandatory for all incoming passengers to take the RT-PCR test on arrival at IGI airport, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Friday.

Those who test positive for coronavirus will be quarantined at isolation facilities, while passengers testing negative will be subjected to a seven-day institutional quarantine, followed by seven-day home quarantine.

Flight operations with the UK, which had been suspended by the Union government on December 23 in view of the fast-spreading new coronavirus strain found in that country, resumed on Friday.
