Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday began reviewing Samagra Siksha and implementation of Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) in Odisha universities.
He is currently attending a review meeting with officials of the School and Mass Education Department at the state guesthouse here.
Dharmendra will later hold a video conferencing with heads of IIT, IIM, NIT, ISER, IGNOU, Central Sanskrit University and the Central University of Odisha.
Earlier in the day, he had a meeting with officials of the Higher Education Department.
Samagra Shiksha is an integrated scheme with a focus on ‘quality and inclusive’ education. The basic motive behind this is to ensure that all children have access to quality education with an equitable and inclusive classroom environment. The scheme was recently extended till March 31, 2026.
Launched in 2013, RUSA, on the other hand, aims to provide funding to select higher educational institutions in the states and improve the quality of state institutions while ensuring conformity to prescribed norms.
