Bhubaneswar: Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda is scheduled to embark upon a two-day visit to Odisha on Thursday.
Nadda, who is also the national president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), is slated to attend a programme of the National Health Mission (NHM) being held in Puri for the first time on Friday.
The Union Minister is slated to arrive in Bhubaneswar at 7 pm on Thursday. Soon after arrival, he will proceed to Konark and spend the night there, BJP’s state unit vice president Biranchi Narayan Tripathy said.
Nadda will attend the NHM programme in Puri on Friday and then come to Bhubaneswar where he is slated to hold discussion and meetings with key BJP leaders and workers, he said.
Stating that BJP is determined to make Odisha developed by 2036, Tripathy said vigorous efforts have been started in this regard and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is providing full support for this.
Under Modi’a leadership, many national-level programmes and important events have been held in the state in the last 3 months. Starting from the Director General of Police Conference, Navy Day, Pravasi Bharatiya Divas etc. have been held.
