New Delhi: Gangster Vikas Dubey, accused of killing 10 cops last week, has been nabbed in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday after a week-long search across the nation.
Police arrested the gangster in Ujjain as two of his colleagues were killed in separate encounters in Uttar Pradesh. Dubey’s close aide Aman Dubey was killed on Wednesday.
Dubey was seen in a mask being whisked away by cops in Ujjain, according to CCTV footage.
At around 8am, Dubey was spotted at a temple and a local shopkeeper apparently tipped off the police. As soon as he emerged from the temple, security guards rounded him up. “He produced a fake ID card and then there was a fight. The guards got him to the police,” an officer said.
It may be recalled that eight cops were killed on Friday when policemen went in a large team to arrest the gangster in Bikru village in Chaubeypur area of Kanpur.
