It’s raining discounts on automobiles. Japanese-maker Toyota, traditionally known not to provide steep discounts, is also following suit. Sales of Toyota have decreased by 24 per cent year-on-year in August 2019.
Here are the top discounts:
Yaris
Toyota’s Yaris hasn’t been finding takers like its competitors Honda City and Maruti Ciaz. Hence, the discounts on this are even steeper. Some dealers are offering up to Rs 1.35 lakh discount on 2018 models. The 2019 models carry benefits of up to Rs 50,000. The Yaris is one of the only mid-size sedans to come with 7 airbags.
Corolla Altis
While the aging Corolla faces stiff competition from the new Honda Civic and Skoda Octavia, dealers are giving discounts and benefits up to Rs 1.3 lakh.
Innova Crysta
The undisputed MUV king and Toyota’s bread-winner is also coming with benefits up to Rs 60,000.
Etios
Toyota’s budget sedan comes with benefits of up to Rs 55,000. The hatchback Etios Liva can be bought with benefits of up to Rs 35,000. It is one of the few hatchbacks to score 4 stars in Global NCAP crash test.
Fortuner
The big daddy of SUVs is also being discounted with benefits worth Rs 45,000.
