US Ban: Huawei-Honor Sales Expected To Suffer In India
Following the US ban, the world’s second largest smartphone maker, Huawei has started losing support from key industry players such as Google’s Android, Microsoft, ARM and more.
According to reports published in ET, retailers are pushing away Huawei and Honor branded smartphones fearing uncertainty of the future. Currently, Huawei has 4.5 per cent market share in India and does around 88 per cent of its business via its online partners such as Amazon, Flipkart, etc.
Huawei’s sales are expected to come down to 200 million from a 258 million forecast, according to mobile sales analyst firm Fubon Research.
Huawei has got a 90-day extension to sort out the issues.
