Bhubaneswar: Utkal University, Vani Vihar, with the objective to boost and bring about reforms in teaching, learning and governance in the university, has started a drive for capacity development of its teaching and non-teaching staff.
The university, in collaboration with MDRAFM (Madhusudan Das Regional Academy of Financial Management) Bhubaneswar, had organised a five-day training programme for the ministerial staff of the university on financial and administrative management. The training batch, which closed on Saturday, was meant to boost the performance in the administrative and financial functions of various sections in the university.
Moreover, according to a press release, a group of 30 assistant professors and associate professors will be attending a five-day faculty development programme at NIEPA (National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration), New Delhi.
The teaching staff will undergo advanced training on teaching methodology at the programme, aimed to improve their teaching skills and bring about a positive change in the learning environment of their respective departments.
