Bhubaneswar: Bowing to the demands of the Law students, the Utkal University on Wednesday announced that it will conduct the semester examinations in online mode.
Briefing the media, Controller of Examination, Utkal University Sarat Majhi said the seven semester examinations will be held in phases.
“As decided by the University Examination Committee, the 3rd and 7th semester examinations will begin from September 3 while 1st and 5th semester examinations will begin on September 13. The 8th, 9th and 10th semester examinations will be held after the Puja vacation,” Majhi said.
Protesting against the decision of the Utkal University to conduct the semester examinations in the offline mode, the students of four law colleges in Odisha had agitated in front of the main gate and vice-chancellor’s office at Utkal University here on Monday.
