New Delhi: In a breathtaking display of power and precision, India’s teenage batting prodigy Vaibhav Suryavanshi lit up the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2026 final against England at the Harare Sports Club on Friday. The 14-year-old produced a scintillating century — reaching the three-figure mark in just 55 balls — to place India firmly in command of the title decider.
His knock included six fours and six sixes, making it the fastest century by an Indian in U19 World Cup history, according to Sportstar. The 14-year-old from Bihar broke the previous record held by Raj Angad Bawa, who had reached a hundred in 69 balls against Uganda in 2022.
