Mumbai/Delhi: Students from Vedanta College of Management and Information Technology (VCMIT) will now get employment opportunities in Vedanta group companies. Anil Agarwal, Chairman, Vedanta Resources Limited said during the Foundation Day ceremony of the college at Vitthalwadi, Mumbai.
“We want to encourage young students from smaller towns and cities. Students of VCMIT have the potential to join the mailstream and be gainfully employed,” said Aggarwal.
Vedanta Limited organises job fairs under the aegis of Vedanta Foundation. In fact, it is among the few foundations to also hold job fair for jail inmates. Over 30,000 unemployed youth have managed to get jobs through their placement drives. Companies like Mc Donald’s, Eureka Forbes, Pantaloons Retail, Cinemax, CCD and many others have participated in this drive.
