Bhubaneswar: Transport Commissioner Sanjeeb Panda on Thursday directed all Regional Transport Officers to accept vehicle-related documents in electronic form during enforcement drives.
Documents such as driving licence, registration certificate, insurance in electronic form presented only through DigiLocker or mParivahan apps will be treated on a par with the original document.
However, photographs or scanned images of such documents are not valid.
“In case a citizen is unable to show the digital copy or information on DigiLocker or mParivahan app, the enforcement agency can verify the details of DL and RC on their mParivahan app or e-challan app,” the Commissioner said in a statement.
