New Delhi: Veteran actress Rita Bhaduri breathed her last in Mumbai on Tuesday morning. She was 62.
Bhaduri was reportedly under treatment for kidney ailment at Sujay Hospital in Vile Parle.
She was last seen in Star Bharat’s Nimki Mukhiya, playing a grandmother.
The actress was popular in Gujarati and Hindi film industry. She had gained popularity for her role in ‘Sawan Ko Aane Do’, ‘Julie’, ‘Khoon Ki Pukar’, ‘Vishwanath’ and ‘Ueens Bees’, among others.
Bhaduri was nominated for Filmfare Best Supporting Actress award for her performance in 1995 Bollywood movie Raja, starring Madhuri Dixit and Sanjay Kapoor.
She also acted in ‘Dil Vil Pyar Vyar’ (2002) and ‘Mein Madhuri Dixit Banna Chahti Hoon’ (2003) .
On her sad demises, cricketer Virat Kohli tweeted, “A sad news for fans actress #RitaBhaduri is no more…. #rip #RitaBhaduri.”
Renowned actor Anil Kapoor wrote in twitter that, “#RitaBhaduri was one of the finest actresses that #FTII gave us. I had the honour of working with her in Ghar Ho to Aisa, Beta & Viraasat & I’m really saddened to hear about her passing…She will be dearly missed by her friends, family & fans…”

Congress president Rahul Gandhi also twitted, “RIP! Veteran #Bollywood & #TV actress #RitaBhaduri dead at 62.”
Actor Amit Behl wrote, “RIP Rita Bhaduri, your love & laughter will be sorely missed.”
Notably, the actress was in the hospital for the last 10 days.
