Rourkela: Odisha on Friday lost another journalist to COVID-19. Veteran journalist Adwaita Prasad Biswal died while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Odisha’s Rourkela.
According to sources, Biswal was battling COVID infection for over a week.
The 78-year-old columnist is survived by daughter Rosalin Biswal and son Siddharth Biswal. His wife Saroja had passed away a few years back.
The founder and editor of Odia weekly ‘Shramika Malika’, had worked with Odia daily ‘Pragatibadi’ as a reporter besides other newspapers.
Biswal was also the founding member of Odisha Journalists’ Union and Rourkela Press Club and president of Talcher Bimlagarh Rail Link Action Committee.
