Veterinary Officer Caught Taking Bribe By Odisha Vigilance In Ganjam

Bhubaneswar: The Block Veterinary Officer (BVO) of Aska in Odisha’s Ganjam district was nabbed by the anti-corruption Vigilance wing of Odisha on Friday for allegedly accepting Rs 9,000 bribe from a man to engage his vehicle in the mobile unit.

The accsued, identified as Rabinarayan Sahu, was apprehended while demanding and accepting Rs.9,000 from complainant for processing the file for continuation of engagement of his vehicle as MVU (Mobile Veterinary Unit) under CDVO, Chatrapur for  2023-24, abiding the terms and conditions of previous contract.

The entire bribe money has been recovered from Sahu and seized.

Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at three locations of Sahu from Disproportionate Assets angle.

In this connection,  a case has been registered and investigation is in progress against the accused.
