Bhubaneswar: The conference of Vice Chancellors of 17 universities in Odisha would begin at Raj Bhawan here at 11 am on Tuesday.
Odisha Governor and Chancellor of State Universities Satya Pal Mallik would preside over the conference in presence of the ministers of six departments.

The meeting would discuss campus discipline, filling up vacant teaching posts on priority basis and challenges faced by the authorities of the state universities and students in the wake of recent violence in the campuses of Ravenshaw University and Utkal University.
Besides, a strategy will also be prepared for smooth functioning of universities.
This apart, improvement in the quality of teaching and research would also be taken up for discussion in the conference.
