Mumbai: With cinema halls closed amidst the coronavirus pandemic, the Vidya Balan-starrer biopic on famous mathematician Shakuntala Devi will directly release on the OTT platform Amazon Prime.
Amazon Prime took to its official Twitter handle to announce the same, but didn’t reveal the streaming date.

Directed by Anu Menon, the film also stars Sanya Malhotra and Amit Saad in prominent roles.
Vidya Balan also shared the news on her Instagram handle with excitement and wrote, “Delight to announce that you will get to see #ShakuntalaDevi very soon on @primevideoin.”

The biopic on Shakuntala Devi, who was termed the ‘Human Computer’., is produced by Abundantia Entertainment and Sony Pictures Networks India.
Apart from this film, there are many Bollywood movies which are supposed to opt for digital release. Films like Laxmi Bomb (Akshay Kumar, Kiara Advani), Khaali Peeli (Ishaan Khatar, Ananya Pandey) and many others are looking to release their films on OTT platforms and talking to online streaming platform owners.
