Nuapada: Vigilance officials on Sunday arrested Nuapada Kendu Leaf
Divisonal Forest Officer (DFO) for allegedly accepting bribe to the
tune of Rs 2.20 lakh.
The forest officer has been identified as Laxmikant Mishra.
According to vigilance sources, Mishra had demanded the bribe amount
from ranger Parshuram Patel for clearing a bill related to quarters
and kendu leaf storage construction.
He was caught red-handed by a team while accepting the bribe
amount from the complainant.
The anti-corruption officials also conducted a raid at Mishra’s house
located at Baripada.
