Cuttack: Vigilance officials on Tuesday seized an unaccounted amount of more than Rs 1 lakh from the possession of a Tehsildar in the district.
Following reliable information, the Vigilance sleuths of Cuttack division intercepted Bichitrananda Naik, Barang tehsildar while he was on his way home at 3.30 pm.
A sum of Rs 1,07,000 was recovered from his possession, the source of which he could not account for satisfactorily. Details are awaited.
