Mumbai: Rumours about Vijay Deverakonda dating Rashmika Mandanna has been doing the rounds for some time now.
Both actors hinted at being in relationships, without disclosing who they are dating.
Vijay has now said that he will reveal his partner’s name when the time is right and when he is ready for it.
“I will talk about it when I am ready, when I think that the world needs to know, and I want to share it with everyone. There needs to be a reason, a purpose and a time for it. So, on such a day, I will happily share it with the world in my way,” Vijay told Bombay Times.
“When you’re a public figure, it’s part of the job. There’s a lot of curiosity, but I don’t feel any pressure. I read it as news. Only once I felt the need to respond (hinting at the time when he posted an Instagram story reacting to a report about his wedding), but otherwise, it’s alright,” he added.
Earlier this year, in response to rumours about his wedding with Rashmika, the actor told Lifestyle Asia, “I’m not getting engaged or married in February. It feels like the press just wants to get me married every two years. I hear this rumour every year. They’re just walking around waiting to catch me and get me married.”
Meanwhile, during a recent interview with Cosmopolitan, Rashmika hinted at being in a relationship and shared that her partner gives her comfort during tough times and makes her feel secure, without taking any name.
Asked who gives her comfort during tough times, Rashmika said, “My partner. I need my partner in every phase of my life. I need that comfort, security, and empathy.”
Vijay and Rashmika’s on-screen chemistry in ‘Geetha Govindam’ (2018) and ‘Dear Comrade’ (2019) left the audience impressed. Now, fans are eagerly waiting for the celebrities to announce their off-screen pairing soon.
