Berhampur: A man and a woman were tied up in ropes and paraded in Kaliapalli village under Badagada police limits of Odisha’s Ganjam district for having an affair.
It is alleged that the man (father of two children) is having an affair with a woman (mother of 4 children). The villagers conducted a Kangaroo court and held them guilty.
The two were paraded by the villagers as per the punishment pronounced by the Kangaroo court. The video of the two being made to walk went viral following which police swung into action.
Police said this incident might have occured on March 8 the International Women’s Day and described it as inhuman. Though no one has lodged any FIR, police registered a case suo motto, sources said.
