Gwalior: From injecting disinfectant to having papads as an immunity booster, politicians of all hues have come up with their own version of unscientific COVID-19 cures.
A minister from Madhya Pradesh, Imarti Devi, has joined the bandwagon of such bizarre claims. Squashing media reports about her testing positive for COVID-19, she claimed immunity to the infection having been born in ‘gobar’ (cow dung) and ‘mitti’ (soil).
The video of the minister making such claims has gone viral on social media.
Imarti Devi even pointed to her mask, hanging by the chin, and said that that she was wearing it out of compulsion.
