Mumbai: Royal Challengers Bangalore couldn’t make much use of skipper Virat Kohli’s unbeaten 92-run as it lost by 46 runs to Mumbai Indians in an Indian Premier League match on April 16. This is Mumbai’s first win in the current edition of the IPL.
Kohli remained unbeaten and slammed 92 runs off 62-ball including seven boundaries and four sixes.
Bangalore put on board a massive total of 213/6, thanks to the antics by skipper Rohit Sharma (94) and opener Evin Lewis (65).
In reply, Bangalore started well after scoring 40 runs in 4.1 overs, but soon after de Kock’s dismissal, Bangalore lost wickets at regular intervals before managing 167/8 in 20 overs.
Brief scores: Mumbai Indians 213/6 (Rohit Sharma 94; Evin Lewis 65; Umesh Yadav 2/36)
Royal Challengers Bangalore: 167/8 (Virat Kohli 92; Krunal Pandya 3/28)
