Mumbai: After a brief hiatus from the industry, Vivek Oberoi is learnt to be making a mega comeback with an exciting lineup of films including ‘Masti 4’, ‘Spirit’ and ‘Ramayana’.
While ‘Masti 4’ has already hit theatres, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ and Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ are yet to be released.
A recent report suggests that Vivek may also be seen playing Aurangzeb in Rishab Shetty’s most ambitious historical epic titled ‘The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’.
“Vivek Oberoi has been roped in to play Aurangzeb opposite Rishab Shetty’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Sandeep Singh’s upcoming historical epic, The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The casting brings together two powerhouse performers for what promises to be a deeply impactful retelling of one of India’s most iconic chapters,” a source close to the project told Zoom.
Besides Vivek, Shefali Shah will also be a part of the project and will be seen portraying the character of Jijamata in the historical epic, which is currently in the production stage and is expected to be released in 2027.
Fuelling speculation of Vivek’s collaboration with Rishab are back-to-back videos from events where the duo was spotted together.
