[Watch] After Neetu Kapoor’s ‘Ho Gayi’ Reaction, Alia’s Uncle Rohin Bhatt Confirms Wedding Date & Venue

Mumbai: Amid speculations and assumptions over Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s wedding date, the latter’s uncle Robin Bhatt has confirmed that the couple will tie the knot on April 14.

According to Alia’s uncle, the wedding would be a four-day affair. While the mehendi ceremony will take place on April 13, the wedding will be an intimate function at RK’s Bandra home, Vastu, in Mumbai. It is the same place where Ranbir’s parents Neetu Kapoor and Rishi Kapoor tied the knot.

Earlier reacting to queries by reporters on the wedding rumours, Neetu Kapoor had said Bhagwan jaane (God knows)”, and “ho gayi (it’s done)”.

In a video shared by a paparazzo account, a paparazzi can be heard saying, “tareekh toh bata dijiye Neetu ji shaadi ki (tell us the date of the wedding).” She asks “Kiski?” The paparazzo replied, “RK sir ki.” Neetu then said, “Tareekh hai kuch? Bhagwan jaane (god knows).” Later, another paparazzo asks “Koi 14 April bol raha hai koi 15 April. Aap hi bata do. (Some are saying April 14, some are saying April 15. You only tell us the dates),” Neetu replies to him by saying, “Main toh bol rahi hun ki ho gaya (I am saying it’s already done).

Speaking to News18, Neetu had earlier dismissed the rumour of the duo getting married next week but admitted that they are having a lot of fun with all the noise going around. “Let the astrologers come out with a date,” she added.

In an interview with Etimes, Neetu said, “I would like to celebrate it and say it out loud. But kids today are different. I don’t know about the big day myself, as both are very private people. Kab kar lenge pata nahi. But hogi and I wish jaldi ho jaaye because I love them both.”

She was all praises for Alia and said that “they are very similar” and “they are made for each other”.

“Ranbir is pure-hearted and uncorrupted. He sees everything in a positive way. He doesn’t harbour jealousy or ill feelings for anyone. I see the same quality in Alia. She feels no jealousy for anyone. They are confident and don’t have anything bad to say about anyone even if someone’s movie is doing well or is better looking,” said Neetu.

Ranbir and Alia started dating in 2017 after they met on the sets of Brahmastra and made their relationship official in May 2018 when they appeared together at the wedding reception of actor Sonam Kapoor.
