Hyderabad: Allu Arjun’s woes keep mounting.
In a worrying development, protesters stormed Allu Arjun’s Jubilee Hills residence here on Sunday evening and damaged the property.
Visuals shared by Big TV showed the protesters holding placards, pelting the house with stones and tomatoes, breaking flower pots and demanding that the actor take care of the Sandya theatre stampede victim’s family.
According to the TV channel, the protesters claimed to be from Osmania University’s Joint Action Committee.
They wanted the ‘Pushpa 2’ star to pay the victim’s family at least Rs 1 crore, given that the film has set cash registers ringing at the box office.
“We demand that Allu Arjun take care of the late Revathi’s family. Why did so many film personalities visit him when he came out of jail after being there for 6 months, but none of them cared when a woman died. This is the time for them to stand behind Revathi’s family and be there for Sri Teja. We will not let you go anywhere if these demands aren’t met,” one protester told the channel.
The protesters also burned Allu Arjun’s effigies.
After receiving a complaint, a police team reached the scene, and arrested eight people, reported Live Hindustan.
Allu’s staff took his two children to their maternal uncle’s home, but it wasn’t clear if the actor was at home during the attack.

Allu visited Sandhya theatre with his family and co-star Rashmika Mandanna for the premiere of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rise’ on December 4. A stampede-like situation ensued, resulting in the death of a 35-year-old woman and serious injury to her young son.
The actor, who was arrested in the case on December 13, got bail the same evening.
Under attack from chief minister Revanth Reddy and other MLAs like Akbaruddin Owaisi, Allu held a press conference on Saturday and claimed that a lot of misinformation was doing the rounds and that he was being subjected to character assassination.
On Sunday, Allu issued a message on social media asking his fans to behave responsibly or else face strong action.
