New Delhi: Invited to Narendra Modi’s official home at 7, Lok Kalyan Marg for a tete-a-tete with the Prime Minister-elect, Punjab BJP leader Ravneet Singh Bittu was bogged down by the Delhi traffic.
Not wanting to be late in reaching Modi’s residence, Bittu got out of his car and started running, with guards in tow.
Photos and a video of Bittu running at a roundabout before entering Modi’s house have gone viral on social media.

He was one among 52 members of NDA parties who were called to Modi’s residence. They are believed to be inducted into the Union Council of Ministers under Modi, who will be sworn in as PM for a record-equalling third term at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday evening.
“One should never be late,” Bittu told NDTV, adding that many leaders were going, so he decided to get down and run instead of waiting in the jam.
Bittu, the grandson of slain former Punjab Chief Minister Beant Singh, expressed his gratitude to Modi for being chosen as a Minister of State despite losing in the Lok Sabha election from Ludhiana to Congress party’s Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.
