Mumbai: ‘#BoycottPataalLok’ has been trending on social media platforms ever since the release of the web series on Amazon Prime on May 15.
In the latest salvo, BJP MLA Nandkishor Gurjar has filed an FIR against Anushka Sharma for using his pictures in the series without his consent.
During an interview with Newsroom Post, the MLA even urged team India Captain Virat Kohli to divorce his actress wife Anushka Sharma.
“Virat Kohli desh bhakt hai, desh k liye khele hai. Anushka ko talak de dena chahiye,” the MLA was quoted as saying.

The minister didn’t stop here. He even wrote a letter to Minister of Information and Broadcasting Prakash Javedkar, seeking a ban on the streaming of ‘Pataal Lok’ on Amazon Prime.
Even netizens have demanded a ban on the web series as a scene from it portrays a sadhu eating meat with the photo of a deity in the background

Last week, a member of the Lawyers Guild, Viren Sri Gurung had served a legal notice to Anushka Sharma for insulting the Nepali community.
