Puri: Passengers escaped narrowly after the car, in which they were travelling, caught fire near Bata Mangala in Odisha’s Puri on Wednesday.
According to sources, the car went up in flames on Puri-Bhubaneswar national highway when one Sakir Mohammed was taking his relatives to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack for treatment.
On being informed, the firefighters immediately reached the spot and doused the blaze.
All the occupants of the vehicle are safe.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
