[Watch] Farmhouse, Kalyan Mandap Among Rs 6.67 Cr Assets Unearthed During Raid On Odisha Supplies Officer
Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths unearthed assets worth Rs 6.67 crore during the raid on Assistant Civil Supplies Officer (ACSO), Nuapada, Ratnakar Sethy on Wednesday. He had been accused of accumulating assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
Simultaneous searches were conducted by the anti-corruption sleuths at six places:
1. Residential house at Bali Sahi PS. Madhupatna, Cuttack
2. A G+3 building at Chauliaganj, Cuttack
3.Nataraj Palace Kalyan Mandap at Balisahi, Cuttack.
4.. A 3-acre land covered by a boundary wall with a house at Oranda, Choudwar
5. Office room at CSO office, Nuapada
6. Rented house at Nuapada.
ASSETS UNEARTHED
1. One four-storey building at Chauliaganj, Cuttack, worth Rs 2,12,25,000
2. A double-storey building at Balisahi, Cuttack
3. A triple-storey building (Kalyan Mandap named Natraj Palace) at Balisahi, Cuttack
4. Insurance deposits worth Rs.1,17,54,828 crore.
5. A farmhouse measuring area of 3 acres at Oranda, Cuttack.
6. 4 plots- three at Chauliaganj and 1 at Balisahi – in Cuttack city
7. Bank deposits, including fixed deposits, in the name of Sethy and his family members worth Rs.89,24,081
8. Gold ornaments weighing 500 gram and silver ornaments weighing 2.55 kg worth Rs 20,94,000
9. Household articles worth Rs 16,54,900
10. Three two-wheelers.
Cash and other movable and immovable properties, all totalling over Rs 6.73 crore.
Further searches are continuing, an official release said.
