Bhubaneswar: As most theatres have reopened in the city, filmstars have started the launch events. Ollywood actors Babushaan and Shivani revealed the poster of their upcoming film ‘Bidyaran’ at Maharaja Hall here on Friday.

Though most theatres have reopened, normal crowd is yet to return. Sources at INOX told OdishaBytes that people are coming but it is far away from a houseful. A big reason for that is also lack of good movies now, the source informed.
The COVID-19 protocols have also upset a few youngsters who lament not being able to sit together. “I came to watch Wonderwoman 1984 with my girlfriend but had to sit a seat apart from each other. This was a bummer,” said a law student who didn’t wish to be named. “However, we understand this is necessary and it is definitely better than closed halls,” he added.
Theatre owners are glad that they are finally allowed to open and hope that things will pick up only when colleges reopen. A representative of Maharaja Hall pointed out that the investment for sanitisation processes amounted to lakhs of rupees, a pinch added to the 50 per cent capacity rule.
