[Watch] Four-Time Andhra CM: Chandrababu Naidu Takes Oath, His Second After State’s Bifurcation In 2014

New Delhi: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) chief N Chandrababu Naidu was sworn in as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh and Jana Sena Party (JSP) chief Pawan Kalyan as his deputy on Wednesday in a grand event at Kesarapalli IT Park near Gannavaram Airport in Krishna district.

Naidu and Kalyan were administered the oath of office by Governor S Abdul Nazeer. Naidu’s son and TDP General Secretary Nara Lokesh, TDP’s Andhra Pradesh unit chief K Atchannaidu, and Jana Sena Party political affairs committee chairman Nadendla Manohar were among the 24 ministers, who were sworn in, too.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, central ministers, and other National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders attended the grand event.

Former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, Ex-Chief Justice of India NV Ramana, and superstars Rajnikanth and Chiranjeevi were also present.

This is the fourth time that Naidu assumed charge as Andhra chief minister and the second time after the bi-furcation in 2014.

In separate meetings on Tuesday, the Telugu Desam Legislature Party and NDA partners elected Naidu as their leader. According to the list released by the TDP, the Cabinet will have 21 MLAs from the TDP, three from the Jana Sena Party, and one from the BJP, News18 reported.
