Hyderabad: Record rainfall has resulted in 12 people dying in Telengana.
Visuals of people being swept away by rampaging floodwaters in Hyderabad’s Falaknuma area and boulders crashing over two houses are doing the rounds.
NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed to help evacuate people from low-lying areas like Toli Chowki’s Nadeem colony.
In 24 hours, Hyderabad received 191.8 mm of rain, its highest October rainfall since 1903. IMD has predicted more heavy rains for the city and the state.
