Dubai: Team India and Chennai Super Kings cricketer Deepak Chahar had a forgettable day in the IPL as the yellow brigade was mauled into submission by KL Rahul-led Punjab Kings. But off the field, it was Chahar’s most memorable day.
Soon after CSK lost their final league game by 6 wickets to Punjab Kings, the medium-pacer went to the stands at Dubai International Stadium and proposed to his fiancee Jaya.
IPL shared pictures and videos of Chahar and his girlfriend hugging each other and exchanging rings, which went viral on social media.
Chahar is seen going down on his knees to propose to the gorgeous lady in black, with a ring. The beaming lady she accepts the proposal, which is greeted with loud cheers by those around them.

Chahar, who has played 5 ODIs and 14 T20 Internationals for India so far, leaked runs like all other bowlers as Rahul slammed an unbeaten 98 off just 42 balls with 7 fours and 8 sixes. Punjab Kings motored to victory with as many as 7 overs to spare. They needed a big win to improve their net run rate and give themselves an outside chance of qualifying for the IPL play-offs.
CSK have already ensured a berth in the last four.
