Ahmedabad: Wild animals have been known to stray out of their comfort zones and make their way into human-dominated spaces.
A recent video of a lion roaming in an urban area, with cars passing by, has taken social media by storm.
The clip, shared by Indian Forest Service officer Susanta Nanda on Twitter recently, shows a lion walking on a flyover in Gujarat.
As the lion moves unperturbed along roadside on a rain-soaked day, it is aware of the dangers of a busy area.
As a car crosses it, the lion slows down and stops.
“Bheegi Bheegi Raaton Mein. Lion enjoying the rain and taking a stroll on the flyover. Gujarat,” Nanda captioned the video, which has been taken from a distance.

One user pointed that it’s not uncommon for lions and humans to come into each other’s territory.
“It’s very common in Gujarat for lions and humans to stroll in each other’s territory but this one may be due to heavy rains and flooding in Gir and surrounding areas.”
Another person found it scary.
“This is scary both for the lion and motorists. Sad state of affairs.”
One user wrote: “Lions look good in jungles as much as humans look good in cities. For the betterment of both, they should be confined to their own habitats.”
A fourth reaction referred to the king of jungle. “King is a king always.”
