Mumbai: Actress Athiya Shetty and Team India cricketer KL Rahul had on Tuesday teased their fans by sharing selfies on Instagram with almost identical captions.

A day later, Athiya revealed that the two have been roped in to endorse NUMI Paris, an eyewear brand. Suneil Shetty’s daughter and Rahul have been dating each other for quite some time.

NUMI Paris shared a video on its Instagram page, where they introduced Athiya and Rahul as their new global ambassadors.

A day earlier, Athiya had posted a no-makeup selfie and wrote, “A new day, a step closer to a new me!” She wore a lavender hoodie and sunglasses. The same day, KL Rahul posted a boomerang video on Instagram Stories and wrote, “New Day. New Possibilities. New me…”

On Wednesday, Athiya tweeted, “The #NewMe is more grateful, easy going and mindful! Proud to present NUMI Paris with @klrahul11. Get your #NewMe @NUMIParis,” along with pictures of the couple.

Though Athiya and Rahul have not acknowledged their relationship in as many words, the two keep dedicating cute Instagram posts to each other and go on holidays together.

Early this month, Athiya posted a picture of herself posing outside a ground with barricades behind her, sparking speculation that she had joined Rahul for Team India’s tour of England.

The Virat Kohli-led Indian team is in Southampton, preparing to face New Zealand in the World Test Championship final from June 18. The BCCI has given permission to wives/girlfriends to join the touring cricketers.

Athiya’s last Bollywood release was Motichoor Chaknachoor, in which Nawazuddin Siddiqui was her co-star.
