Dhanbad: At least 12 people, including four children, lost their lives in a massive fire at an apartment in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad on Tuesday evening.
Several people are feared trapped in ‘Ashirwad Apartment’, located in Joraphatak, a posh area of the mining town, Hindustan Times reported.
Till late in the evening, efforts were on to douse the fire amid and rescue those trapped in the multi-storeyed building.

The rescued people were rushed to the Patliputra Nursing Home where they are undergoing treatment.
There was a wedding reportedly in one of the flats on the fourth floor, where the fire appears to have broken out.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
