Bhubaneswar: Urging people to stay at home to combat coronavirus, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday announced Rs 2200-crore assistance package for the unprivileged section, who have been hit hard by the 21-day nationwide lockdown.
The Chief Minister said that the 94 lakh beneficiary families under Food Security Act will be provided three-month ration in advance and Rs 1000 each.
Similarly, 48 lakh beneficiaries of social welfare schemes will be provided four-month allowance in advance, he said.
Naveen further said that 22 lakh construction workers in the state will receive Rs 1500 each.
