[Watch] PM Narendra Modi Takes Holy Dip In Ganga
Varanasi: Ahead of inaugurating the Kashi Vishwanath Corridor phase 1 here on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi offered prayers at the sacred Kaal Bhairav temple and took a dip in the Ganga.
Modi was given a rousing reception in Varanasi, his parliamentary constituency, as residents showered flower petals and shouted ‘Modi, Modi’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
The Prime Minister took a cruise on a decorated boat from Khirkiya Ghat to reach the Kashi Vishwanath temple.

“I am overwhelmed. After some time, we all will witness the inauguration of the Kashi Vishwanath Dham project. Before this, I had darshan of Kaal Bhairav ji, the Kotwal of Kashi,” Modi tweeted in Hindi.
Kashi Vishwanath Corridor, which has been constructed at a cost of Rs 339 crore, connects Kashi Vishwanath Temple to the banks of Ganga in the holy city of Varanasi.
Modi, on a two-day visit to Varanasi, was accompanied by Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath. Assembly elections in UP are round the corner.
