A video of a CNN reporter being interrupted by a racoon outside the White House, just before he was to go live, has gone viral.
The incident was caught on camera as the sudden appearance of the racoon — a medium-sized mammal found in North America — startled senior Washington correspondent Joe Johns, who can be heard shouting “get lost”.
He is seen throwing something at the mammal before facing the camera.
As per a CNN report, Johns was about to go live with an update on President Donald Trump’s health when he spotted the raccoon.

CBS News’s White House Correspondent Paula Reid also shared pictures of racoons attacking bags and equipment.
Strong Pawnee vibes at White House this morning as a raccoon attacked multiple news crews on North Lawn. 🦝 allegedly grabbed pant leg of a photographer & then a corespondent before being fended off. (WH 🦝🦝 🦝 pictured here in more peaceful times.) pic.twitter.com/o5VbTUHxBR
