New Delhi: After Sushant Singh Rajput’s tragic demise, singer Sonu Nigam forewarned about the possibility of more suicides in Bollywood.
Unravelling the ugly side of the industry, Sonu stated that not only the actors but also young and talented singers are suffering with a couple of music companies dictating terms to the filmmakers.
Young and talented singers, lyricists and music composers are being sidelined by the elite and powerful gangs, he said, referring to the bad blood between Arijit Singh and a top actor in the industry.
Sonu said people approach him to record songs and then re-record it with different singers. “They are recording the same songs with 10 artistes,” he said.
In the wake of Sushant’s death, the singer appealed to everyone to be more compassionate and sensitive towards each other.
